Market Evening Wrap 27th Dec. 2019

The Benchmarks KSE100 index opened at 41,200.89pts with positive gap of 73.10pts during current trading session but dropped towards 41,048.35pts with net change of -79.44pts.but later on bulls came back again and they pushed index towards its day high at 41,289.68pts with net change of 161.89pts during the first half. In second half they have tried to push it further upward but could not succeed and index slide toward day low of 40,726.65pts with net change of -401.14pts. While session closed at 40,848.53pts with net change of -279.26pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor inched up by 29.14 million shares or 12.30% to settle at 265.96 million shares. Trading volume of KSE100 listed companies followed same trend where volume figures settled at 146.61 million shares with net change of 14.59 million shares or 11.05% on DoD basis.WTL, UNITY and HASCOLR1 remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 31.80, 22.68 and 22.40 million shares and price change of 10.24, -2.07 and 7.44 percent respectively.

Today 335 companies have participated in trading where out of these 123 companies remained in positive zone while 16 companies remained in neutral zone and 196 companies closed with negative price change at day end. PMPK, SAPT and SFL remained top three price gainers with price gain of 71.47. 46.50 and 37.82 Rs per share respectively. While on the other side BATA, MARI and JLICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -61.25, -29.96 and -20.35 Rs per share respectively.
