The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,359.73pts with a gap of 72.35pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,698.33pts where a net change of 410.95pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,319.74pts with net change of 32.36pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,458.13pts with net change of 170.75pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 610.88 million shares with net change of 7.65 million shares or 1.27% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 373.93 million shares with net change of 32.36 million shares or 9.47%. ANL, PIBTL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 40.21, 39.65 and 37.01 and net price change of 0.28, 1.92 and 6.40 percent respectively.

Today, 384 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 196 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 10 companies closed with no change but 178 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, MARI and KHTC lead the price gainers with net price change of 76.43, 40.18 and 39.71 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, PAKT and MFFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -120.00, -34.00 and -32.93 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 83.72, 70.79 and 65.44 million shares respectively. CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 87.92, 42.94 and 38.54 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, Investment and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -19.67, -16.24 and -7.49 points respectively.
