Market Evening Wrap 27th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 37,659.64pts with a gap of 52.02pts. Later on index posted a high of 38,291.77pts where a net change of 684.15pts was recorded.While a day low of 37,625.06pts with net chage of 17.44pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 38,221.16pts with net chage of 613.54pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 288.10 million shares with net change of 21.57 million shares or 8.09% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 183.91 million shares with net change of -5.93 million shares or -3.12%. PAEL, TRG and PRL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 28.92, 20.00 and 18.45 and net price change of 6.50, 7.50 and -4.47 percent respectively.

Today, 335 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 207 out of these closed with net positive price change while 14 closed with no change but 114 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. MARI, MTL and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 77.38, 51.21 and 27.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side ILTM, BHAT and SFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -85.00, -71.94 and -60.75 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CABLE & ELECTRICAL GOODS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 39.38, 39.09 and 29.93 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 303.05, 85.38 and 78.18 points, while on the other side Investment, MISCELLANEOUS and CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -11.63, -1.27 and -0.92 points respectively.
