The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,717.72pts with a gap of 45.04pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,910.12pts where a net change of 237.44pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,616.73pts with net change of -55.95pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,686.99pts with net change of 14.31pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 432.45 million shares with net change of -17.77 million shares or -3.95% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 162.30 million shares with net change of 70.98 million shares or 77.73%. WTL, BYCO and KASBM remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 36.63, 34.55 and 17.83 and net price change of -2.60, -2.04 and 13.99 percent respectively.

Today, 397 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 158 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 7 companies closed with no change but 232 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, SFL and BTL lead the price gainers with net price change of 67.50, 60.00 and 18.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, AKDHL and NRL remained top three price losers with net price change of -83.46, -30.00 and -22.96 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 81.63, 37.38 and 37.15 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 145.68, 38.31 and 28.63 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, Investment and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -44.44, -36.18 and -35.64 points respectively.
