Market Evening Wrap 27th Mar. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 27,247.44pts with a gap of -19.76pts. Later on index posted a high of 28,273.09pts where a net change of 1,005.89pts was recorded.While a day low of 27,156.53pts with net chage of -110.67pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 28,109.57pts with net chage of 842.37pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 169.34 million shares with net change of -17.12 million shares or -9.18% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 141.97 million shares with net change of -15.28 million shares or -9.72%. KEL, UNITY and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 41.17, 11.26 and 10.47 and net price change of -1.45, 5.72 and -0.36 percent respectively.

Today, 285 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 201 out of these closed with net positive price change while 22 closed with no change but 62 companies closed with net negative price change. PAKT, RMPL and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 50.92, 50.00 and 40.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SFL, BHAT and ARPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -54.28, -44.00 and -34.91 Pkr/share respectively.

Today POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 44.79, 27.75 and 18.72 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 296.99, 200.61 and 149.11 points, while on the other side INSURANCE, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -5.29, -1.60 and -1.33 points respectively.
