The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,976.64pts with a gap of -54.39pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,066.52pts where a net change of 35.49pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,753.30pts with net chage of -277.73pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,807.09pts with net chage of -223.94pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 397.78 million shares with net change of 8.62 million shares or 2.21% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 247.89 million shares with net change of -0.83 million shares or -0.33%. UNITY, TRG and KEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 53.46, 45.96 and 23.11 and net price change of 2.50, 6.56 and 0.00 percent respectively.

Today,342 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 175 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 148 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, COLG and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 200.00, 78.27 and 77.25 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PMPK, KHTC and SCL remained top three price losers with net price change of -35.00, -25.85 and -18.74 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 105.14, 53.49 and 44.09 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have supported index by adding 46.00, 12.58 and 6.99 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -83.92, -50.50 and -42.97 points respectively.
