Market Evening Wrap 27th Oct. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,879.37pts with a gap of 28.90pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,922.19pts where a net change of 71.72pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,327.72pts with net chage of -522.75pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,381.83pts with net chage of -468.64pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 481.02 million shares with net change of -6.10 million shares or -1.25% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 305.46 million shares with net change of 19.55 million shares or 6.84%. MLCF, PRL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 45.78, 27.94 and 24.36 and net price change of 3.53, 7.48 and -1.75 percent respectively.

Today,343 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 107 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 222 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, NESTLE and BHAT lead the price gainers with net price change of 56.32, 50.00 and 24.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side GATI, HINO and SEPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -52.00, -17.43 and -15.44 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, REFINERY and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 107.27, 39.16 and 26.00 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and TRANSPORT sectors have supported index by adding 15.57, 11.42 and 2.57 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -134.70, -100.26 and -54.66 points respectively.
