Market Evening Wrap 27th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,081.55pts with a gap of 8.03pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,236.48pts where a net change of 162.96pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,341.51pts with net change of -732.01pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,817.76pts with net change of -255.76pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 301.05 million shares with net change of -68.46 million shares or -18.53% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 162.70 million shares with net change of -23.99 million shares or -12.85%. UNITY, WTL and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 34.95, 32.65 and 32.17 and net price change of -3.48, -3.83 and -7.28 percent respectively.

Today, 375 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 101 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 259 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, SYS and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 35.15, 25.41 and 12.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, WYETH and PKGS remained top three price losers with net price change of -149.50, -60.00 and -28.68 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 67.55, 39.61 and 34.95 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 34.82, 16.61 and 15.08 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, REFINERY and PAPER & BOARD sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -59.84, -29.54 and -27.26 points respectively.
