Market Evening Wrap 28th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 38,378.87pts with a gap of 157.71pts. Later on index posted a high of 38,700.96pts where a net change of 479.80pts was recorded.While a day low of 38,374.54pts with net chage of 153.38pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 38,627.27pts with net chage of 406.11pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 394.28 million shares with net change of 106.18 million shares or 36.86% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 241.93 million shares with net change of 58.01 million shares or 31.54%. PAEL, MLCF and BOP remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 26.22, 26.10 and 23.40 and net price change of 0.45, 3.68 and 3.45 percent respectively.

Today, 349 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 219 out of these closed with net positive price change while 14 closed with no change but 116 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, ICI and PMPK lead the price gainers with net price change of 46.99, 25.86 and 24.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SAPT and ILTM remained top three price losers with net price change of -119.33, -51.99 and -49.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 60.86, 59.61 and 35.61 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 362.64, 152.44 and 60.70 points, while on the other side Investment, AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES and MISCELLANEOUS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -13.80, -6.64 and -3.12 points respectively.
