Market Evening Wrap 28th May. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,822.27pts with a gap of -14.34pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,822.27pts where a net change of -14.34pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,598.40pts with net chage of -238.21pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,695.42pts with net chage of -141.19pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 194.70 million shares with net change of 47.54 million shares or 32.31% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 146.52 million shares with net change of 50.20 million shares or 52.12%. TRG, HASCOL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 24.75, 24.42 and 21.17 and net price change of 7.50, 1.59 and 8.14 percent respectively.

Today, 306 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 136 out of these closed with net positive price change while 25 closed with no price change but 145 companies closed with net negative price change. RMPL, SAPT and SFL lead the price gainers with net price change of 449.00, 56.92 and 49.54 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, SAPL and BATA remained top three price losers with net price change of -50.00, -27.13 and -26.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 37.00, 28.78 and 21.18 million shares respectively. PHARMACEUTICALS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 31.31, 20.66 and 7.42 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -80.04, -56.42 and -52.60 points respectively.
