The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,723.82pts with a gap of 22.59pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,765.88pts where a net change of 64.65pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,740.95pts with net chage of -960.28pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,740.95pts with net chage of -960.28pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 407.19 million shares with net change of -27.83 million shares or -6.40% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 282.07 million shares with net change of -32.20 million shares or -10.25%. HASCOL, UNITY and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.52, 47.50 and 28.43 and net price change of 3.94, -0.44 and 9.99 percent respectively.

Today,221 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 92 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 114 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.UPFL, NESTLE and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 1040.00, 178.75 and 148.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MUREB, PMRS and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.75, -28.99 and -27.24 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 64.25, 47.50 and 43.68 million shares respectively. LEATHER & TANNERIES, LEASING COMPANIES and SYNTHETIC & RAYON sectors have supported index by adding 0.94, 0.21 and -0.01 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -222.10, -134.84 and -76.71 points respectively.
