Market Evening Wrap 28th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,846.70pts with a gap of 28.94pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,294.37pts where a net change of 476.61pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,747.22pts with net change of -70.54pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,274.93pts with net change of 457.17pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 364.38 million shares with net change of 63.33 million shares or 21.04% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 175.44 million shares with net change of 12.74 million shares or 7.83%. TELE, BYCO and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 35.84, 33.64 and 22.14 and net price change of 7.48, 11.84 and 5.43 percent respectively.

Today, 372 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 260 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 96 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. INDU, ABOT and EXIDE lead the price gainers with net price change of 26.86, 26.16 and 23.11 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, COLG and BHAT remained top three price losers with net price change of -1165.00, -140.00 and -68.73 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 98.18, 40.76 and 27.76 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and REFINERY sectors have supported index by adding 133.14, 50.31 and 38.83 points, while on the other side CHEMICAL, MISCELLANEOUS and AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -17.62, -7.27 and -2.61 points respectively.
