Market Evening Wrap 29th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,121.59pts with a gap of 62.47pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,143.34pts where a net change of 84.22pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,781.30pts with net change of -277.82pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,863.11pts with net change of -196.01pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 280.67 million shares with net change of -25.07 million shares or -8.20% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 138.96 million shares with net change of -1.96 million shares or -1.39%. HASCOL, GGL and TELE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 43.87, 32.64 and 19.56 and net price change of 8.74, -7.13 and -3.43 percent respectively.

Today, 334 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 126 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 9 companies closed with no change but 199 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, GATI and HINOON lead the price gainers with net price change of 50.00, 33.50 and 20.80 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MARI, SAPT and PAKT remained top three price losers with net price change of -60.22, -48.33 and -46.33 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 56.24, 46.03 and 36.10 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and CHEMICAL sectors have supported index by adding 26.91, 8.48 and 8.24 points, while on the other side CEMENT, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -64.69, -46.29 and -40.55 points respectively.
