The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,260.09pts with a gap of 94.04pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,656.98pts where a net change of 490.93pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,260.09pts with net change of 94.04pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,385.54pts with net change of 219.49pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 839.46 million shares with net change of -4.53 million shares or -0.54% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 484.69 million shares with net change of 188.22 million shares or 63.48%. KEL, SILK and PRL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 141.58, 80.67 and 62.90 and net price change of 7.33, 5.84 and 7.47 percent respectively.

Today, 385 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 192 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 178 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, AKDCL and NRL lead the price gainers with net price change of 74.49, 39.98 and 31.79 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side BATA, MFFL and FZCM remained top three price losers with net price change of -36.65, -28.18 and -13.92 Pkr/share respectively.

Today POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 153.60, 112.73 and 102.93 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have supported index by adding 61.39, 51.68 and 29.33 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -69.24, -31.51 and -26.68 points respectively.
