Market Evening Wrap 29th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,007.68pts with a gap of 68.19pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,207.00pts where a net change of 267.51pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,719.51pts with net change of -219.98pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,181.80pts with net change of 242.31pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 156.67 million shares with net change of -41.52 million shares or -20.95% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 98.07 million shares with net change of -24.42 million shares or -19.94%. PRLR1, SSGC and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 18.45, 11.66 and 11.26 and net price change of -3.92, 2.40 and 4.75 percent respectively.

Today, 329 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 169 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 22 companies closed with no change but 138 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.PAKT, SAPL and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 67.91, 57.07 and 52.97 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side JLICL, HINOON and TICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -24.03, -15.15 and -10.49 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 29.04, 26.04 and 15.97 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 74.66, 46.54 and 43.62 points, while on the other side POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, FERTILIZER and INSURANCE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -19.13, -11.78 and -6.93 points respectively.
