The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,466.72pts with a gap of -54.91pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,466.72pts where a net change of -54.91pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,315.43pts with net change of -1,206.20pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,431.80pts with net change of -1,089.83pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 523.79 million shares with net change of -5.28 million shares or -1.00% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 316.17 million shares with net change of -5.24 million shares or -1.63%. BYCO, PRL and ANL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 80.25, 48.96 and 45.63 and net price change of -7.89, -7.26 and -0.05 percent respectively.

Today, 364 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 42 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 13 companies closed with no change but 309 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, SYS and MUREB lead the price gainers with net price change of 48.51, 9.99 and 6.91 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SUTM, IDYM and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -581.30, -577.44 and -92.50 Pkr/share respectively.

Today REFINERY, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 141.55, 105.89 and 49.40 million shares respectively. REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST, MODARABAS and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have supported index by adding 4.91, 0.81 and 0.00 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -182.63, -164.77 and -148.03 points respectively.
