Market Evening Wrap 29th Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,694.84pts with a gap of -46.11pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,445.47pts where a net change of 704.52pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,389.80pts with net chage of -351.15pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,204.36pts with net chage of 463.41pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 353.65 million shares with net change of -53.54 million shares or -13.15% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 243.68 million shares with net change of -38.38 million shares or -13.61%. HASCOL, UNITY and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.52, 47.50 and 28.43 and net price change of 3.94, -0.44 and 9.99 percent respectively.

Today,347 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 230 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 95 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.UPFL, NESTLE and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 1040.00, 178.75 and 148.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MUREB, PMRS and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.75, -28.99 and -27.24 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 64.25, 47.50 and 43.68 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 193.06, 93.66 and 82.00 points, while on the other side MISCELLANEOUS, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -11.84, -3.42 and -0.32 points respectively.
