Market Evening Wrap 29th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,251.35pts with a gap of -23.58pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,342.26pts where a net change of 67.33pts was recorded. While a day low of 43,975.04pts with net change of -1,299.89pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,366.74pts with net change of -908.19pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 468.60 million shares with net change of 104.22 million shares or 28.60% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 208.74 million shares with net change of 33.29 million shares or 18.98%. TELE, WTL and DCR remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 52.43, 51.19 and 36.02 and net price change of -0.29, -6.87 and -1.47 percent respectively.

Today, 383 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 58 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 311 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. BATA, BHAT and PAKT lead the price gainers with net price change of 82.11, 77.86 and 64.90 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, FASM and ICI remained top three price losers with net price change of -62.50, -24.89 and -24.27 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 157.79, 40.49 and 36.02 million shares respectively. TOBACCO, CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND and MODARABAS sectors have supported index by adding 18.91, -0.02 and -0.06 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -216.94, -203.89 and -115.83 points respectively.
