Market Evening Wrap 29th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,178.24pts with a gap of 175.89pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,508.77pts where a net change of 506.42pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,058.44pts with net change of 56.09pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,137.77pts with net change of 135.42pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 580.75 million shares with net change of -74.33 million shares or -11.35% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 205.46 million shares with net change of -18.49 million shares or -8.26%. SILK, HASCOL and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 69.19, 66.25 and 55.69 and net price change of 8.99, -9.18 and 2.62 percent respectively.

Today, 378 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 228 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 29 companies closed with no change but 121 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. INDU, BATA and EXIDE lead the price gainers with net price change of 49.22, 35.27 and 27.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, HINO and GATI remained top three price losers with net price change of -196.71, -46.17 and -35.40 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 149.16, 82.83 and 70.79 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 92.94, 87.32 and 24.90 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, CHEMICAL and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -100.27, -31.54 and -28.96 points respectively.
