Market Evening Wrap 2nd April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,568.90pts with a gap of 140.80pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,609.28pts where a net change of 181.18pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,197.90pts with net change of -230.20pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,300.95pts with net change of -127.15pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 266.76 million shares with net change of -46.73 million shares or -14.91% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 140.76 million shares with net change of -47.89 million shares or -25.38%. TRG, PRL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 22.93, 15.41 and 14.01 and net price change of -2.80, 3.57 and 0.70 percent respectively.

Today, 341 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 141 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 178 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, COLG and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 680.00, 138.00 and 60.09 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, SRVI and PMPK remained top three price losers with net price change of -60.24, -47.87 and -31.66 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 51.40, 33.78 and 20.09 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 16.16, 6.96 and 6.01 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, PHARMACEUTICALS and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -49.37, -8.44 and -5.29 points respectively.
