The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,272.67pts with a gap of 81.41pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,286.46pts where a net change of 95.20pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,960.46pts with net change of -230.80pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,126.90pts with net change of -64.36pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 1,046.39 million shares with net change of -345.35 million shares or -24.81% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 361.19 million shares with net change of -95.18 million shares or -20.86%. WTL, BYCO and PTC remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 202.68, 59.11 and 36.20 and net price change of 0.00, -0.78 and -1.51 percent respectively.

Today, 399 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 192 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 188 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, WYETH and HCAR lead the price gainers with net price change of 649.00, 184.65 and 21.07 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, MARI and SSOM remained top three price losers with net price change of -113.67, -16.80 and -7.04 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 306.78, 89.51 and 56.33 million shares respectively. AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER, REFINERY and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have supported index by adding 16.73, 13.97 and 13.20 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -53.75, -37.99 and -21.29 points respectively.
