Market Evening Wrap 2nd June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,078.53pts with a gap of 56.56pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,525.27pts where a net change of 503.30pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,035.45pts with net chage of 13.48pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,408.05pts with net chage of 386.08pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 220.99 million shares with net change of 22.95 million shares or 11.59% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 159.96 million shares with net change of 35.85 million shares or 28.88%. PAEL, TRG and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 14.22, 12.56 and 12.34 and net price change of -0.86, -0.78 and -0.34 percent respectively.

Today, 334 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 153 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 27 companies closed with no change but 154 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.UPFL, IDYM and RMPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 188.00, 43.22 and 25.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SFL, FEROZ and PRET remained top three price losers with net price change of -56.03, -24.75 and -18.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 50.04, 24.31 and 17.31 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have supported index by adding 337.34, 38.06 and 30.48 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, PHARMACEUTICALS and Investment sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -31.69, -22.64 and -15.73 points respectively.
