Market Evening Wrap 2nd Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 39,703.49pts with a gap of -184.51pts. Later on day high remained same as the opening price and index started moving in downward direction. While a day low of 38,778.68pts with net chage of -1109.32pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 39,112.18pts with net chage of 775.82pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 322.15 million shares with net change of -219.07 million shares or -40.47% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 205.63 million shares with net change of -169.18 million shares or 45.14%. HASCOL, UNITY and PIBTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 32.40, 31.22 and 20.18 and net price change of -7.45, 1.92 and -2.24 percent respectively..

Today,359 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 82 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 261 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, UPFL and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 150.00, 100.00 and 59.74 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, BATA and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -122.96, -119.15 and -99.80 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 49.41, 36.77 and 31.22 million shares respectively. Investment, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND sectors have supported index by adding 8.13, 4.74 and 4.09 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -198.67, -142.15 and -70.30 points respectively.
