The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,655.87pts with a gap of -548.49pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,838.92pts where a net change of -365.44pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,541.57pts with net chage of -662.79pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,775.21pts with net chage of -429.15pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 111.98 million shares with net change of -241.67 million shares or -68.34% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 77.28 million shares with net change of -166.40 million shares or -68.29%. HASCOL, HASCOL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.52, 57.52 and 47.50 and net price change of 3.94, 3.94 and -0.44 percent respectively.

Today,273 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 173 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 11 companies closed with no change but 89 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, UPFL and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 1040.00, 1040.00 and 178.75 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MUREB, MUREB and PMRS remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.75, -48.75 and -28.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 128.50, 95.00 and 87.36 million shares respectively. AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER, MISCELLANEOUS and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have supported index by adding 22.80, 7.47 and 4.16 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -260.94, -159.24 and -128.53 points respectively.
