The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,519.76pts with a gap of 142.50pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,932.85pts where a net change of 555.59pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,519.76pts with net chage of 142.50pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,834.85pts with net chage of 457.59pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 837.02 million shares with net change of 77.66 million shares or 10.23% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 526.72 million shares with net change of 154.98 million shares or 41.69%. KEL, PTC and PIBTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 53.99, 48.71 and 46.91 and net price change of 6.14, 9.63 and 3.89 percent respectively.

Today,358 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 248 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 96 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, PMPK and RMPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 155.50, 55.00 and 49.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PMRS, SFL and SUTM remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.56, -40.00 and -26.10 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 112.97, 86.94 and 81.31 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 111.28, 86.15 and 56.39 points, while on the other side MISCELLANEOUS, ENGINEERING and CABLE & ELECTRICAL GOODS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -4.89, -2.86 and -0.48 points respectively.
