Market Evening Wrap 30th Apr. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,493.09pts with a gap of 334.25pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,176.31pts where a net change of 1,017.47pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,487.14pts with net chage of 328.30pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,111.64pts with net chage of 952.80pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 291.72 million shares with net change of 151.27 million shares or 107.71% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 235.44 million shares with net change of 124.47 million shares or 112.16%. HASCOL, PAEL and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 37.78, 27.00 and 25.83 and net price change of 3.76, 6.64 and 3.28 percent respectively.

Today, 346 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 250 out of these closed with net positive price change while 13 closed with no change but 83 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, RMPL and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 150.75, 150.00 and 81.80 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PMPK, PAKT and FASM remained top three price losers with net price change of -61.00, -44.00 and -16.62 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and CABLE & ELECTRICAL GOODS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 53.68, 45.13 and 27.17 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 316.12, 113.69 and 94.49 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, Investment and REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -17.20, -8.14 and -1.50 points respectively.
