Market Evening Wrap 30th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 38,933.04pts with a gap of 96.77pts. Later on index posted a high of 39,270.46pts where a net change of 434.19pts was recorded.While a day low of 38,781.18pts with net chage of -55.09pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 39,258.44pts with net chage of 422.17pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 368.70 million shares with net change of -139.53 million shares or -27.45% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 261.49 million shares with net change of -107.25 million shares or -29.09%. PIBTL, TRG and PAEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 43.31, 27.91 and 18.07 and net price change of 5.83, 6.03 and 0.09 percent respectively.

Today, 352 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 215 out of these closed with net positive price change while 16 closed with no change but 121 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.INDU, ILTM and ATLH lead the price gainers with net price change of 76.09, 69.50 and 30.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SIEM and ICI remained top three price losers with net price change of -49.01, -10.00 and -9.59 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and TRANSPORT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 57.76, 47.57 and 43.84 million shares respectively. CEMENT, FERTILIZER and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 77.38, 65.72 and 60.52 points, while on the other side FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, INSURANCE and CHEMICAL sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -5.69, -4.08 and -2.98 points respectively.
