Market Evening Wrap 30th Jul. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,348.47pts with a gap of 36.14pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,642.79pts where a net change of 330.46pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,925.16pts with net change of -387.17pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,055.29pts with net change of -257.04pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 398.94 million shares with net change of 22.81 million shares or 6.06% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 156.53 million shares with net change of 0.06 million shares or 0.04%. WTL, BYCO and TELE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 39.18, 38.44 and 24.59 and net price change of 1.17, -2.20 and 2.99 percent respectively.

Today, 372 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 128 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 228 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, TICL and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 28.20, 22.65 and 20.69 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SFL, WYETH and GATI remained top three price losers with net price change of -44.99, -31.88 and -30.77 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 118.57, 42.27 and 26.49 million shares respectively. ENGINEERING, INSURANCE and Investment sectors have supported index by adding 7.12, 6.15 and 4.34 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FERTILIZER and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -60.84, -46.54 and -43.36 points respectively.
