Market Evening Wrap 30th Mar. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 27,982.46pts with a gap of -127.11pts. Later on index posted a high of 28,114.10pts where a net change of 4.53pts was recorded.While a day low of 27,467.35pts with net chage of -642.22pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 28,023.39pts with net chage of -86.18pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 159.45 million shares with net change of -9.89 million shares or -5.84% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 127.65 million shares with net change of -14.32 million shares or -10.09%. KEL, MLCF and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 34.97, 9.57 and 7.17 and net price change of -2.21, 7.45 and -2.47 percent respectively.

Today, 304 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 145 out of these closed with net positive price change while 18 companies closed with no price change but 141 companies closed in negative zone. RMPL, WYETH and LUCK lead the price gainers with net price change of 100.00, 40.00 and 22.55 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side BATA, PAKT and SAPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -77.99, -67.98 and -53.95 Pkr/share respectively.

Today POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 40.97, 29.52 and 17.98 million shares respectively. CEMENT, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and ENGINEERING sectors have supported index by adding 144.82, 44.08 and 10.84 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -144.46, -115.67 and -13.20 points respectively.
