Market Evening Wrap 30th Mar. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,404.69pts with a gap of -27.11pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,808.63pts where a net change of 376.83pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,199.26pts with net change of -232.54pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,491.03pts with net change of 59.23pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 339.10 million shares with net change of -184.69 million shares or -35.26% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 175.40 million shares with net change of -140.77 million shares or -44.52%. BYCO, TRG and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 46.12, 35.79 and 30.81 and net price change of 0.00, 0.37 and 6.39 percent respectively.

Today, 351 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 217 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 119 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, GATI and INDU lead the price gainers with net price change of 98.99, 37.50 and 34.20 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, MARI and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -63.00, -44.39 and -34.20 Pkr/share respectively.

Today REFINERY, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 85.18, 83.20 and 30.89 million shares respectively. REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST, MODARABAS and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have supported index by adding 4.91, 0.81 and 0.00 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -182.63, -164.77 and -148.03 points respectively.
