Market Evening Wrap 30th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,782.70pts with a gap of -24.39pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,115.10pts where a net change of 308.01pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,669.85pts with net chage of -137.24pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,068.82pts with net chage of 261.73pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 388.52 million shares with net change of -9.26 million shares or -2.33% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 184.49 million shares with net change of -63.40 million shares or -25.58%. HUMNL, TRG and PRL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 88.61, 31.85 and 24.80 and net price change of -9.85, 7.49 and 2.89 percent respectively.

Today,322 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 205 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 101 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, WYETH and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 59.99, 32.75 and 24.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side ILTM, PAKT and MARI remained top three price losers with net price change of -119.00, -40.00 and -12.05 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 136.94, 36.49 and 22.91 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 55.73, 50.96 and 40.90 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and TOBACCO sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -32.00, -17.56 and -11.46 points respectively.
