Market Evening Wrap 30th Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,285.16pts with a gap of 80.80pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,438.33pts where a net change of 233.97pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,494.90pts with net chage of -709.46pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,571.48pts with net chage of -632.88pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 473.73 million shares with net change of 120.08 million shares or 33.95% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 336.70 million shares with net change of 93.02 million shares or 38.17%. HASCOL, UNITY and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.52, 47.50 and 28.43 and net price change of 3.94, -0.44 and 9.99 percent respectively.

Today,348 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 96 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 17 companies closed with no change but 235 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.UPFL, NESTLE and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 1040.00, 178.75 and 148.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MUREB, PMRS and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.75, -28.99 and -27.24 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 64.25, 47.50 and 43.68 million shares respectively. Investment, INSURANCE and AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES sectors have supported index by adding 8.60, 3.57 and 2.31 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -129.47, -79.12 and -68.34 points respectively.
