Market Evening Wrap 30th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,219.47pts with a gap of 81.70pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,460.31pts where a net change of 322.54pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,171.69pts with net change of 33.92pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,356.02pts with net change of 218.25pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 549.53 million shares with net change of -31.22 million shares or -5.38% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 153.00 million shares with net change of -52.46 million shares or -25.53%. SILK, WTL and TPL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 44.20, 43.24 and 31.85 and net price change of -2.43, 1.28 and 7.12 percent respectively.

Today, 388 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 229 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 27 companies closed with no change but 132 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SFL, HINO and PAKT lead the price gainers with net price change of 54.99, 42.70 and 40.08 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, GATI and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -126.25, -25.90 and -23.61 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and MISCELLANEOUS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 115.05, 69.18 and 49.76 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 119.02, 64.55 and 29.23 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -32.23, -28.68 and -11.60 points respectively.
