Market Evening Wrap 31st Mar. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 28,085.25pts with a gap of 61.86pts. Later on index posted a high of 29,334.55pts where a net change of 1,311.16pts was recorded.While a day low of 28,029.37pts with net chage of 5.98pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 29,231.63pts with net chage of 1,208.24pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 221.83 million shares with net change of 62.39 million shares or 39.13% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 186.15 million shares with net change of 58.51 million shares or 45.84%. HASCOL, MLCF and KEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 25.78, 19.03 and 16.82 and net price change of 9.39, 7.45 and 6.79 percent respectively.

Today, 328 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 258 out of these closed with net positive price change while 10 companies closed with no price change but 60 companies closed with net negative price change. RMPL, COLG and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 487.00, 99.00 and 73.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SFL and IDYM remained top three price losers with net price change of -61.49, -46.00 and -34.43 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 51.82, 31.57 and 23.46 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 371.25, 147.90 and 147.79 points, while on the other side TEXTILE SPINNING, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -2.34, -2.27 and -0.77 points respectively.
