The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 30,787.67pts with a gap of 5.01pts. Later on index posted a high of 31,817.10pts where a net change of 1,034.44pts was recorded.While a day low of 30,787.67pts with net chage of 5.01pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 31,621.79pts with net chage of 839.13pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 251.75 million shares with net change of -59.66 million shares or -19.16% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 186.50 million shares with net change of -40.07 million shares or -17.69%. MLCF, HASCOL and BOP remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 26.28, 15.86 and 13.85 and net price change of 6.00, 7.82 and 3.90 percent respectively.

Today, 314 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 209 out of these closed with net positive price change while 14 companies closed with no price change but 91 companies closed with net negative price change. PMPK, MARI and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 103.95, 64.03 and 58.97 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, WYETH and SFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -200.00, -44.43 and -25.01 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 61.72, 26.91 and 24.10 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 306.19, 120.74 and 119.29 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, Investment and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -33.17, -11.26 and -9.09 points respectively.
