Market Evening Wrap 3rd Aug. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 39,375.57pts with a gap of 117.13pts. Later on index posted a high of 39,928.92pts where a net change of 670.48pts was recorded.While a day low of 39,375.57pts with net chage of 117.13pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 39,871.61pts with net chage of 613.17pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 538.62 million shares with net change of 169.92 million shares or 46.09% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 338.79 million shares with net change of 77.30 million shares or 29.56%. MLCF, POWER and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 34.81, 32.57 and 29.89 and net price change of 4.28, 13.89 and 7.49 percent respectively.

Today, 355 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 236 out of these closed with net positive price change while 20 closed with no change but 99 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, SAPT and SRVI lead the price gainers with net price change of 450.00, 57.99 and 51.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side ILTM, FASM and PRET remained top three price losers with net price change of -38.00, -19.99 and -17.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and ENGINEERING sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 124.99, 51.87 and 45.42 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 197.23, 116.86 and 49.05 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, TOBACCO and CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -25.12, -2.11 and -0.50 points respectively.
