The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,254.50pts with a gap of 127.60pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,434.40pts where a net change of 307.50pts was recorded. While a day low of 48,010.32pts with net change of -116.58pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,093.53pts with net change of -33.37pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 889.93 million shares with net change of -156.46 million shares or -14.95% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 253.51 million shares with net change of -107.68 million shares or -29.81%. WTL, FNEL and ICIBL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 134.99, 48.15 and 42.70 and net price change of -0.84, -7.85 and 36.50 percent respectively.

Today, 396 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 211 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 28 companies closed with no change but 157 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, NESTLE and SIEM lead the price gainers with net price change of 198.49, 102.51 and 38.10 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, MTL and LUCK remained top three price losers with net price change of -199.00, -25.13 and -18.31 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, Investment and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 262.74, 127.36 and 48.46 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and ENGINEERING sectors have supported index by adding 36.61, 21.15 and 13.97 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -51.75, -47.29 and -25.75 points respectively.
