The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,582.26pts with a gap of 174.21pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,657.73pts where a net change of 249.68pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,404.39pts with net change of -3.66pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,404.39pts with net change of -3.66pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 116.95 million shares with net change of -104.04 million shares or -47.08% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 85.42 million shares with net change of -74.54 million shares or -46.60%. TRG, PAEL and PPL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 7.75, 7.39 and 6.96 and net price change of 0.43, 0.79 and 0.60 percent respectively. respectively.

Today, 324 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 132 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 13 companies closed with no change but 179 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.NESTLE, PAKT and ISIL lead the price gainers with net price change of 46.67, 32.00 and 25.05 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side IDYM, RMPL and BATA remained top three price losers with net price change of -47.85, -45.67 and -18.98 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 20.45, 18.59 and 11.45 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 22.01, 18.66 and 18.63 points, while on the other side CHEMICAL, CEMENT and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -20.16, -18.32 and -18.28 points respectively.
