The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,239.54pts with a gap of -22.81pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,326.01pts where a net change of 63.66pts was recorded. While a day low of 43,630.07pts with net change of -632.28pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,076.20pts with net change of -186.15pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 238.44 million shares with net change of -55.29 million shares or -18.82% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 125.28 million shares with net change of -28.67 million shares or -18.62%. UNITY, TELE and GGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 36.36, 25.35 and 23.14 and net price change of 4.12, -6.97 and -6.98 percent respectively.

Today, 337 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 104 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 12 companies closed with no change but 221 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, PAKT and GATI lead the price gainers with net price change of 71.25, 40.01 and 31.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, FASM and KHTC remained top three price losers with net price change of -60.49, -30.00 and -17.43 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 61.52, 36.38 and 27.85 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have supported index by adding 20.96, 19.78 and 11.92 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -86.08, -52.33 and -37.45 points respectively.
