Market Evening Wrap 3rd Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 39,345.75pts with a gap of 233.57pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,499.64pts where a net change of 1,387.46pts was recorded.While a day low of 39,345.75pts with net chage of 233.57pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,480.88pts with net chage of 1,368.70pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 383.93 million shares with net change of 61.77 million shares or 19.17% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 229.35 million shares with net change of 23.71 million shares or 11.53%. UNITY, POWER and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 42.88, 35.68 and 29.48 and net price change of 3.22, 10.78 and 7.45 percent respectively.

Today,350 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 296 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 7 companies closed with no change but 47 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, SAPT and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 100.00, 66.22 and 44.32 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, BTL and KHTC remained top three price losers with net price change of -50.00, -17.99 and -13.01 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 70.19, 42.88 and 33.56 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 334.58, 165.89 and 162.25 points, while on the other side CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND, TEXTILE WEAVING and WOOLLEN sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -0.99, 0.00 and 0.15 points respectively.
