The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,970.71pts with a gap of 67.65pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,113.42pts where a net change of 210.36pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,879.28pts with net change of -23.78pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,957.47pts with net change of 54.41pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 464.53 million shares with net change of -79.88 million shares or -14.67% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 113.72 million shares with net change of -54.64 million shares or -32.46%. SERFR, WTL and TELE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 83.57, 50.60 and 37.94 and net price change of -16.75, 1.43 and 6.72 percent respectively.

Today, 390 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 157 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 12 companies closed with no change but 221 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, RMPL and SYS lead the price gainers with net price change of 372.63, 51.00 and 38.06 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, INDU and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -30.00, -23.62 and -19.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CHEMICAL and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 134.23, 36.69 and 33.23 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, PAPER & BOARD and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 78.13, 12.56 and 11.86 points, while on the other side AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -41.65, -24.47 and -22.57 points respectively.
