Market Evening Wrap 4th Dec. 2019

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 39,851.63pts with a positive gap of 62.90pts during current trading session and slide downward in next fifteen minutes to post its day low at 39,659.43pts with net change of -29.30pts. Later on bulls start taking control and after a volatile trading session they lead index towards the day high at 40,306.55pts with net change of 517.82pts, while session suspended at 40,270.52pts with net change of 481.79pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor lowered a bit and settled at 393.15 million shares with net change of -55.73 million shares or 12.41% on DoD basis. UNITY, LOTCHEM and KEL lead the volume numbers with net trading volume of 26.85, 17.67 and 15.98 million shares with net price change of 1.40, 3.15 and -1.28 percent respectively.

Today 377 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 269 out of these closed with net positive change, while 22 companies close with no change and 86 companies close with a net negative price change. BATA, RMPL and PMPK lead the price gainers with net price change of 100.53, 100.00 and 47.54 Rs/share. While on the other side ILTM, NESTLE and EXIDE lead the price looser with net price change of -73.80, -14.50 and -14.32 Rs/share respectively.

PSO, LUCK and MCB remained top three index movers and these have added 38.07, 37.63 and 30.32 points in index with net price change of 8.04, 12.99 and 3.27 Rs/share respectively. While on the other side ENGRO, FFC and KEL remained top in index shakers and these have tried to drag index in negative zone by -24.38, -15.42 and -3.77 points with net price change of -3.37, -0.98 and -0.06 Rs/share respectively.

Cement, Chemical and Banks sectors lead the volume numbers at PSX with trading volume of 53.49, 41.96 and 31.78 million shares. Sector wise Banks, Cement and Oil & Gas Exploration companies have pushed index in positive zone by 120.52, 75.87 and 51.10 points with accumulated average price change of 0.88, 3.03 and 1.09 percent in their respective companies. While on the other side Fertilizer sector have tried to drag index in negative zone by -17.34 points with accumulated average price change of 0.80 percent in its respective companies.
