Market Evening Wrap 4th Dec. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,146.27pts with a gap of 98.55pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,316.52pts where a net change of 268.80pts was recorded. While a day low of 42,140.64pts with net chage of 92.92pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,207.00pts with net change of 159.28pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 427.88 million shares with net change of 7.70 million shares or 1.83% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 237.17 million shares with net change of -3.02 million shares or -1.26%. TRG, PRL and PTC remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 42.63, 30.97 and 21.73 and net price change of 3.57, 2.49 and 2.45 percent respectively.

Today, 382 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 212 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 148 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SFL, NESTLE and OTSU lead the price gainers with net price change of 55.00, 24.80 and 21.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side IDYM, SAPT and ISIL remained top three price losers with net price change of -39.49, -33.10 and -30.29 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and ENGINEERING sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 101.07, 47.90 and 47.62 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 67.00, 64.36 and 29.61 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -78.77, -15.45 and -9.81 points respectively.
