The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,035.31pts with a gap of 600.51pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,074.37pts where a net change of 639.57pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,495.45pts with net chage of 60.65pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,686.46pts with net change of 251.66pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 540.79 million shares with net change of -101.79 million shares or -15.84% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 335.13 million shares with net change of -51.20 million shares or -13.25%. PAEL, HUBC and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 27.37, 25.37 and 24.96 and net price change of 4.45, 5.49 and 0.00 percent respectively.

Today, 371 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 148 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 18 companies closed with no change but 205 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, BATA and GLPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 72.50, 38.47 and 27.24 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SHEL, MTL and JLICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -71.87, -25.16 and -25.13 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 66.91, 53.47 and 45.77 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 161.48, 127.05 and 95.98 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -94.48, -80.77 and -19.71 points respectively.
