The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,139.47pts with a gap of 45.94pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,426.53pts where a net change of 333.00pts was recorded. While a day low of 48,107.81pts with net change of 14.28pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,211.70pts with net change of 118.17pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 867.27 million shares with net change of -22.66 million shares or -2.55% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 317.43 million shares with net change of 63.93 million shares or 25.22%. WTL, HASCOL and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 89.04, 78.89 and 54.69 and net price change of -1.40, 7.78 and 2.42 percent respectively.

Today, 395 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 232 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 24 companies closed with no change but 139 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPL, SIEM and FEROZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 41.76, 40.95 and 26.72 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, COLG and BATA remained top three price losers with net price change of -213.38, -50.00 and -20.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, Investment and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 195.60, 128.93 and 95.80 million shares respectively. AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 37.34, 24.67 and 24.62 points, while on the other side Investment, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CHEMICAL sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -18.38, -10.51 and -7.91 points respectively.
