Market Evening Wrap 4th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,390.44pts with a gap of -13.95pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,410.05pts where a net change of 5.66pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,090.13pts with net change of -314.26pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,119.39pts with net change of -285.00pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 143.64 million shares with net change of 26.69 million shares or 22.82% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 104.19 million shares with net change of 18.77 million shares or 21.98%. TRG, UNITY and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 11.32, 11.31 and 8.11 and net price change of -2.93, -1.61 and -1.51 percent respectively.

Today, 322 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 95 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 27 companies closed with no change but 200 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.PMPK, WYETH and SUTM lead the price gainers with net price change of 99.95, 63.00 and 17.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, IDYM and HINO remained top three price losers with net price change of -200.00, -44.13 and -27.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 18.10, 15.85 and 13.69 million shares respectively. PHARMACEUTICALS, AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES and TRANSPORT sectors have supported index by adding 9.13, 6.71 and 5.10 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -97.99, -86.34 and -33.26 points respectively.
