The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,115.32pts with a gap of 39.12pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,620.41pts where a net change of 544.21pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,115.32pts with net change of 39.12pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,563.59pts with net change of 487.39pts..

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 238.44 million shares with net change of -55.29 million shares or -18.82% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 125.28 million shares with net change of -28.67 million shares or -18.62%. UNITY, TELE and GGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 36.36, 25.35 and 23.14 and net price change of 4.12, -6.97 and -6.98 percent respectively.

Today, 342 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 211 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 112 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, WYETH and KHTC lead the price gainers with net price change of 69.97, 34.65 and 23.85 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, PAKT and GATI remained top three price losers with net price change of -115.00, -89.99 and -42.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 64.80, 33.89 and 25.93 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 137.58, 83.04 and 61.93 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and TRANSPORT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -26.52, -2.07 and -1.93 points respectively.
