Market Evening Wrap 4th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,555.29pts with a gap of 74.41pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,914.59pts where a net change of 433.71pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,223.45pts with net chage of -257.43pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,281.96pts with net chage of -198.92pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 427.81 million shares with net change of 43.88 million shares or 11.43% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 234.05 million shares with net change of 4.71 million shares or 2.05%. UNITY, FFL and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 47.73, 34.79 and 30.34 and net price change of -3.89, 5.78 and -0.61 percent respectively.

Today,341 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 137 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 190 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, ILTM and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 130.00, 80.62 and 69.64 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SAPT and MFFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -87.87, -62.70 and -40.09 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 51.96, 47.74 and 43.78 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and TOBACCO sectors have supported index by adding 21.66, 17.70 and 10.53 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -69.50, -48.49 and -36.47 points respectively.
