The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,390.92pts with a gap of 89.97pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,431.24pts where a net change of 130.29pts was recorded. While a day low of 43,471.19pts with net change of -829.76pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 43,548.21pts with net change of -752.74pts..

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 302.77 million shares with net change of 36.02 million shares or 13.50% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 139.20 million shares with net change of -1.56 million shares or -1.11%. TRG, DSL and SILK remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 24.56, 24.40 and 20.02 and net price change of -6.42, 13.95 and 9.57 percent respectively.

Today, 355 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 65 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 9 companies closed with no change but 281 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. KELSC5, SAPT and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 101.03, 64.60 and 43.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, COLG and PAKT remained top three price losers with net price change of -700.00, -97.99 and -56.61 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and ENGINEERING sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 53.19, 39.44 and 31.32 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES and Investment sectors have supported index by adding 23.92, 0.98 and 0.55 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -164.91, -140.63 and -90.03 points respectively.
