Market Evening Wrap 5th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,129.74pts with a gap of 10.35pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,367.74pts where a net change of 248.35pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,081.76pts with net change of -37.63pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,350.42pts with net change of 231.03pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 89.13 million shares with net change of -54.51 million shares or -37.95% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 53.70 million shares with net change of -50.49 million shares or -48.46%. MLCF, JSCL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 6.65, 5.21 and 4.35 and net price change of 2.53, -0.31 and 0.63 percent respectively..

Today, 292 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 166 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 24 companies closed with no change but 102 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.SAPL, ABOT and FEROZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 30.00, 29.75 and 23.34 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SUTM, SCL and POML remained top three price losers with net price change of -22.49, -19.00 and -9.81 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and Investment sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 16.11, 10.87 and 7.57 million shares respectively. CEMENT, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have supported index by adding 64.44, 49.37 and 45.91 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and INSURANCE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -23.11, -3.66 and -3.59 points respectively.
